Eternal City Sites & Pizza Delights

Standard DreamTrip
Journey through time with a walking tour of Rome’s UNESCO-protected Historic Centre — see Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain & more. Then, learn the art of pizza making with a fun private lesson by a professional chef. Book by July 19.

About Your Trip

You can feel it the moment you step into Rome — that sense of antiquity found in the city’s enduring architecture, in its cobblestone streets bustling with passersby and in its every ancient relic. On this wonderful DreamTrip, see for yourself why the Italian capital is known as the “Eternal City,” during a walking tour of some of its most beloved and lasting landmarks. See Piazza Venezia, Pantheon, Piazza Navona (the main city square), Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna (the Spanish Steps) and more as you stroll through the beautiful UNESCO-protected Historic Centre of Rome.

But the fun’s not over yet! You’ll also learn how to make classic pizza during a private lesson, followed by lunch featuring your delectable creations.

The rest of the time is yours to spend in whatever way you’d like. You can visit sites like the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater structure in the world. Or, climb to the top of Palatine Hill, the mythological birthplace of Romulus and Remus, for spectacular views of the city. If you’d rather, you can simply unwind at your luxury hotel — a serene oasis in the bustling city.

Enjoy a hop-on, hop-off sightseeing pass valid for 24 hours. Just hop on the open-top, double-decker bus, then hop off at locales that catch your interest. Or, simply sit back and enjoy the panoramic views in comfort — the complete loop takes about an hour.

What we love:
• The Pantheon is the largest, unreinforced dome ever constructed, despite being built almost 2,000 years ago. Its dome has a Latin oculus — a hole in the roof so the sun can illuminate the building and viewers can see the sky.
• Via Condotti, by the Spanish Steps, is the main street of Rome’s affluent fashion district — and has been since the ancient Roman era.
• There is a lively debate over which pizza style is better and more authentic — Neapolitan or Roman. Try both during your stay in Rome and decide which kind you prefer.

Destination

The Eternal City of Rome has thrived as a global destination for more than 2,500 years. It’s home to hundreds of statues, churches and artifacts of bygone civilizations. According to legend, the city was founded by twins Remus and Romulus around 753 B.C.

Today, it unites intricate history with utter modernity, and visitors marvel at the remnants of Ancient Rome standing alongside contemporary buildings and businesses. The Italian capital encompasses the independent sovereign state of Vatican City, making it an important — and eternally popular — place to visit for people from around the world. See famed works of art and beautifully detailed architecture when you’re not enjoying delicious, traditional Italian cuisine.

We reserve the right to refuse a name change at our sole discretion. If allowed, name changes must be done no later than July 19 and are subject to a fee up to US$100. Name changes after this date are not allowed.

If you do not book and pay for each such person in advance of the trip, you will be charged the hotel’s then-current rate, not the trip price, for each such person at the time of your check-in.
